Rural Art

Get out into the fresh air and be invigorated and inspired by nature's beauty.

Whatever the season, whatever the weather, there is always something new to see and experience as you walk along paths, tracks and quiet lanes, perhaps following the river or exploring an ancient church yard.

The one day rural art workshop takes the form of a morning spent walking in the surrounding countryside, a light lunch back at the studio, followed by an afternoon spent working in the studio.

During the morning walk through nearby countryside, participants are able to collect a selection of natural objects that they find interesting or stimulating. In the studio after lunch, participants are encouraged to use the objects together with art materials to create their own individual artworks inspired by the countryside.

The workshop is designed to be enjoyable and fun for everyone and no previous artistic experience is necessary to fully participate.

This is a one day workshop from 10.am to 3.30pm and included in the price are all materials, a light lunch and hot & cold drinks. For information on how to find dates and prices view the contact us page.

Because of the nature of the rural art workshop it is not recommended for people with mobility difficulties.

The workshop is designed to be enjoyable and fun for everyone and no previous artistic experience is necessary to fully participate.

All activities are suitable for people over 12 years, although all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Families welcome.
